Prelude and Fugue in G minor - (2011)

An opening set of cadenza-like gestures create a wash of tonality, after which a chromatic chorale in four voices is stated and extended. A second set of gestures breaks the chromaticism, and a second, shorter statement of the chorale follows.

The fugue subject is made of the tonic triad tones with their lower neighbors, and the addition of the raised sixth. For the chromaticism, subsequent entries move beyond the normative tonic-dominant relationship, and a final restatement of the fugue subject in octaves is decorated with the ornaments from the opening
