Swingtime and Fugue in F major

Swingtime and Fugue in F major - (2010)

for piano

A set of exchanging voices in the right and left hands introduces this swingtime with its secco chromatic bass line of arpeggiated open triads as accompaniment to the quixotic melody above.

The fugue is a composite of melodic and accompaniment features answered at the fifth, and with various episodes breaking up the form, and a short visit to the sub-mediant region as a bit of variety.

The score is 4 pages, with an approximate performance time of 3' 00."

The score is available as a free PDF download, though any major commercial performance or recording of the work is prohibited without prior arrangement with the composer. Click on the graphic below for this piano score.
